What does an AI agent need?

The same a person would need. Always.

They never need new standards. Especially not ones built just for agents.

They don't need MCPs. They need self-descriptive APIs, like devs already have (OpenAPI, Swagger).

They don't need WebMCP. They need to leverage the accessibility layer.

They don't need skills. They need progressive disclosure that hints what to access when. Good documentation.

If an old standard wasn't enough, that's the hint. Build something better for both agents and humans. Not standards designed for agents alone.
